MEC training and support
The Macmillan English Campus training team is keen to support your teachers and administrators as you begin using MEC in your institution.
What training do we offer?
All customers are entitled to either face-to-face training on-site or remote web-based sessions from one of our expert trainers at no extra cost, which can be taken at their discretion. This is normally carried out with a small number of key MEC staff and teachers. Additional training can, of course, be arranged if required.
What does the training involve?
Training sessions are typically hands-on for teachers and administrators and focus on the key points that they will need to know to get started on MEC; for example, how to navigate around MEC and find resources, how to create blended lesson plans for using MEC in class with their learners and how to use the comprehensive course and learner management tools. We also run regular online top-up training sessions, or ‘MEC Clinics’, for existing customers, wherever they are in the world. Details of these are posted on the MEC Teachers' Blog.
What support materials will we receive?
In addition to the face-to-face and online training, all teachers and administrators using MEC also have free access to the support area of this site, which contains a wealth of useful material, including the comprehensive Guide to MEC and a variety of practical worksheets with teacher’s notes. The material in the support area is free to download and is being updated and expanded all the time.
The MEC Teachers' blog offers tips on getting the best out of MEC, information and updates from the MEC team and opportunities for you to reply to and post comments for other blog readers
