We had a very busy year at Macmillan English Campus, publishing a huge amount of new content in direct response to customer feedback, and welcoming lots of new schools as English Campus users.

Below we highlight some of the best new content we published last year.

Test Compiler

One of the most popular new introductions this year has been the Test Compiler, which allows teachers to easily create and publish tailored tests to their students and increases the amount of content in the English Campus by more than 20%. The content in the Test Compiler is not accessible to students until it is published to them in the form of a test, making it ideal for progress testing.

Another contender for first place in the new content stakes is the new Interactive Worlds material for younger learners. Ideal for use with a projector or interactive whiteboard, the Worlds combine curriculum-based content with a wide variety of new language and grammar points within the different zones, containing all kinds of weird and wonderful creatures.

English for Academic Purposes

170 interactive activities were published in 2008 for English for Academic Purposes, designed to support academic literacy and understanding of study skills, as well as providing a practical focus on university life. The EAP material is underpinned by grammar reference units, and can be used either as a bank of individual resources or as a structured course. Flexible yet comprehensive, this is the ideal resource for both pre- and in-sessional EAP provision.

FCE and CAE exam resources

Changes to the CAE and FCE syllabuses were also reflected in the English Campus in 2008, as part of our ongoing commitment to new publishing. This included 41 completely new exam practice exercises and the rewriting of all other resources to match the updated exams. Also published were 100 entirely new English Campus exercises across the Cambridge ESOL suite of exams. ________________________________________________________________________
