New pronunciation activities and a brand-new game
on the Macmillan English Campus

Pronunciation is one of the most important and discussed aspects of teaching and learning English, and yet with so little space dedicated to it in most course books, the idea of introducing it into your lessons might seem slightly daunting.

Pronunciation resources

Keeping true to our promise of putting teachers and learners at the heart of the English Campus developments by offering materials that can enhance your classes and motivate your students, we have just published 30 new pronunciation activities, now available to all English Campus users.

These fantastic new resources provide highly interactive exercises that can be used during lessons, as homework or for supplementary practice.

Covering all the crucial aspects of pronunciation, from stresses to vowel sounds and from silent consonants to word linking, these activities are all accompanied by a high-quality audio component. Every pronunciation exercise also includes the English Campus' exclusive Voice Record and Playback tool: students can not only listen to the audio file, but also record and play back their own voices in each activity, thus working on both their receptive and productive skills.

Turtle the Time Tourist game ... And if after this pronunciation practice you'd like your students to relax and have some fun while continuing to develop their language skills, you'll find a new addition to our popular database of adventure games: Turtle the Time Tourist.

Available at three different levels of language competence (easy, average and difficult), the game lets students guide Turtle the Time Tourist on a journey through ancient civilizations, moving between South America, China, Greece, Rome and Egypt. Only by finding the missing pieces of the time compass and answering bonus challenge questions can they get back to the 21st century!
