New Web Projects
on the Macmillan English Campus

What do writer Philip Pullman, bacteriologist Alexander Fleming and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber have in common?
They are three of the many protagonists in our latest content update to the Macmillan English Campus: this month, we published five new web projects, at pre-intermediate and intermediate levels, bringing the total to 52 for both British and American English users.

Web projects provide a refreshing and stimulating way to improve your students’ research skills, while also giving them access to authentic, up-to-date language. Their activities are equally suitable for use in the classroom or for follow-up work.

Web projects are also very easy to use: each one contains an introductory text on a specific topic and a group of related web links. Students simply need to click on the links provided by the exercise, and they are taken to external websites, carefully chosen for their content and language.

Students are prompted to use each website to search for information, watch videos, read texts, listen to songs, and engage with English in a variety of interactive ways.

All the external websites are frequently checked by the English Campus editorial team, so teachers never need to worry about the content being made unavailable or becoming obsolete - and with the newly added topics ranging from the history of the Nobel Prize to the Formula One Championship, there is something for every interest.

And don’t forget the free training.
In the next few weeks, the MEC training team will organize a special live online clinic to share more ideas on how to implement this fantastic resource; visit our blog, www.connect2mec.com, to be the first to hear about it.
