Voice Record and Playback
New on the English Campus

We are very excited to announce the introduction of a completely new, much anticipated feature on the Macmillan English Campus: Voice Record and Playback is now available to all English Campus users. We are thrilled to bring you this new function, which many of you have been asking about and which provides an ideal way to improve your students’ speaking skills.

This fantastic new tool enables your students to record and play back their voices, whenever they work with a resource with an audio function. Every time students see the red ‘Listen’ button in an activity, they can now practise their own pronunciation, stress, and intonation – with or without the help of the audio or audioscript included in the exercise.

Connecting the computer’s microphone to the Voice Record and Playback is very easy. The first time that the students select the ‘Record’ function, they will see a Flash Settings popup box. They simply need to click on ‘Allow’ and ‘Remember’, and then they will never see this popup again.

For top tips on how to use Voice Record and Playback, and to share your ideas, join Sarah Milligan in her live MEC online clinic on October 30, which will be entirely dedicated to this new feature.

As usual, the clinic is free of charge and open to all English Campus customers. To receive more information about it or to book your place, you can email Sarah at s.milligan@macmillan.com.

Finally, don’t forget our constantly updated Teachers' Support Area, which is packed with practical advice and suggestions, all free to access and download.
